Privacy Policy
This policy explains what personal data Airglitch ("we", "us") collects when you use the Airglitch website and services (the "Service"), why we collect it, who we share it with, and the rights you have over it. Airglitch, based in Switzerland, is the data controller for this processing. You can reach us about anything in this policy at contact@airglitch.com.
What we collect
Account data. We collect your email address when you sign up, and we use it to send you sign-in links and messages about your account. We do not collect or store passwords, and we do not ask for your name, phone number, or postal address.
Search data. When you search for flights we process and store the itineraries you search for — origins, destinations, dates, and related preferences such as your currency — to provide results, to let you return to them, and to improve the Service.
Payment data. Subscription payments are processed by Stripe. Your card details go directly to Stripe and never reach our servers; we receive and store your subscription status and limited billing information, such as the last four digits of your card.
Usage data. We use Vercel Analytics and Vercel Speed Insights to understand aggregate site usage and performance, such as which pages are visited and how fast they load. This data is aggregated and is not used to track you across other sites. Our servers also keep standard technical logs, such as IP address and browser type, for security and troubleshooting.
Cookies and local storage. We use a session cookie to keep you signed in, a cookie to remember your currency preference, and browser local storage to remember a referral code if you arrived through a referral link. These are set by us and are not used for advertising.
Abuse prevention. Sign-in and some forms are protected by Google reCAPTCHA, which collects device and interaction data to distinguish people from bots. Its use is subject to Google's Privacy Policy and Terms of Service.
How we use your data
We use the data above to provide the Service — running your searches, keeping you signed in, and managing your subscription (performance of our contract with you); to secure and improve the Service, including preventing abuse and understanding aggregate usage (our legitimate interests); and to meet legal obligations such as accounting and tax record-keeping. We do not sell your personal data, and we do not use it for third-party advertising.
Who we share it with
We share personal data only with the service providers that run the Service on our behalf: Stripe (payment processing), Vercel (hosting and analytics), and Google (authentication and database infrastructure, and reCAPTCHA). Each processes data only for the purposes described here, except where it acts as its own controller under its own privacy policy, as Google does for reCAPTCHA.
Flight results are provided in partnership with Skyscanner. When you choose a fare, you are redirected to Skyscanner or to the airline or travel provider, and the details needed to show your selected itinerary are passed along as part of that redirect. From that point their own privacy policies apply. We may also disclose data where required by law.
International transfers
Our service providers process data in part in the United States and other countries outside Switzerland and the European Economic Area. Where they do, transfers are protected by recognized safeguards such as the EU–US and Swiss–US Data Privacy Frameworks or standard contractual clauses.
How long we keep it
We keep account and search data for as long as your account exists, and we delete or anonymize it when your account is deleted or on your request. Billing records are kept for as long as accounting and tax law requires. Technical logs and analytics data are kept only for short periods.
Your rights
Under the Swiss Federal Act on Data Protection and, where it applies, the EU General Data Protection Regulation, you can ask us for access to the personal data we hold about you, ask us to correct or delete it, restrict or object to our processing of it, receive it in a portable format, and withdraw any consent you have given. To exercise any of these rights, email contact@airglitch.com; we will respond within the legally required time. You also have the right to complain to your local data protection authority.
Children
The Service is not directed at children under 16, and we do not knowingly collect personal data from them. If you believe a child has provided us personal data, contact us and we will delete it.
Security
We use appropriate technical and organizational measures to protect your data, including encryption in transit. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time by posting the revised version on this page with an updated date. If a change materially affects how we handle your personal data, we will notify you through the Service or by email.
